OBSTETRIC & GYNAECOLOGY
OB/Gynaecology is the busiest department. It is staffed by highly experience medical staff nurses, well-trained midwives and headed by Consultant with a wide vast experience in OB/Gynaecology. Department is composed of:
- Emergency Room OB/Gynae
- Labour & Delivery of 6 rooms which comprised of
§ 3 labour room
§ 2 delivery room
§ 1 CTG room
With adjacent Antenatal & Post Natal Ward – of 20 beds. 9 rooms 1st class and -11 beds 2nd class as well as nursery of 15 cribs.
Ob/Gynae Outpatient Clinic is from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00P.M.; 5:00P.M. to 9:00 P.M. This clinic offers the services of:
§ Management and follow up of high risk pregnancies
§ Management of medical complication with pregnancy e.g. DM, HTN
§ Ante partum foetal assessment
§ Management of recurrent pregnancy loss
§ Management of infertility couples
§ Counselling for preconception
§ Family planning
§ Screening of breast cancer and cervical cancer
§ Management of gynaecological problem from vaginal discharge to pelvic abdominal masses
The Department is well equipped by:
a) Ultrasound with 2 probes abdominal and vaginal
b) Instrument for IUCD insertion and removal
c) Wound dressing
d) Pap smear
EMERGENCY ROOM
Almostaqbal Emergency Room provides 24hours services comprised of qualified Doctors, Nurses, Receptionist with its facilities of 2 Resuscitation Rooms, 3 Observation Beds, 4 Emergency Beds, 1 Paediatric Examination Room and OB/Gynae Room. Three fully equipped ambulances available for all immediate emergencies, as well as 24 hours service for patient transfer.
Almostaqbal Hospital is headed by a well qualified physician, certified by Saudi Council Medical Board and licensed, qualified, BCLS certified, well trained nurses committed to ensure emergency care patient receives optimal care.
